Project: Treated 4,200 cubic yards of petroleum contaminated sandy-silty soil and water
Client: Speedy Express Service Station
Location: Walterboro, South Carolina
Scope of work: In-Situ Bioremediation
Project cost: $30,000 (Included only microbial products)
Source of contamination: Leaking UST
Project duration: 15 months
Status: Closed Description: At a depth of 8-10 feet, we installed a series of 2-inch diameter slotted PVC . We then injected approximately 200 gallons of our microbial and nutrient product into each well. This was repeated 3 times over the next nine months.

Project: Treated 675 Cubic Yards of Chlorinated Contaminated Soil and Groundwater
Client: Operating Dry Cleaners
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Scope of work: In-Situ Bioremediation
Project cost: $7,575 (Included earthmoving, labor, and all bioremediation products)
Source of contamination: Leaking UST
Project duration: 21 months
Status: Treatment Completed. Monitoring of the site still in operation. Description: In order to treat a shallow groundwater table, a series of 2 inch wide injection wells were drilled to a depth of approximately 5 feet. In their liquid form, our bioremediation products were injected into each well. This treatment was repeated three times over a period of twelve months and we have used eleven wells to monitor the progress of the clean up. The below chart is a record of our laboratory results.

Project: Treated 200-300 cubic yards of Tetrachloroethene contaminated soil and groundwater
Client: Dry Cleaners
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Scope of work: In-Situ Bioremediation
Project cost: $3,500 per treatment (Included products and labor)
Source of contamination: Leaking UST
Project duration: 1 Year
Status: Monitoring Only Description: A microbial product solution was injected into a series of 2 inch treatment wells. The clean up target levels for this site are 5 parts per billion of Tetrachloroethene.
exsitu_diesel_graph
Project: Treated 450 cubic yards of waste oils and diesel fuel in soil and rock
Client: Southern Arizona Mining Site
Location: Near Tucson, Arizona
Scope of work: Ex-Situ Bioremediation
Project cost: $21,600 (Included earthmoving equipment, treatment, bioremediation products and all analytical sampling)
Source of contamination: Leaking USTs and mining equipment
Project duration: 6 weeks
Status: Completed (Catalina Biosolutions treats a new cell of 200-400 cubic yards of soil every 4-8 weeks) Description: A treatment cell has been constructed to hold 250-500 cubic yards of soil. Approximately once a month, Catalina Biosolutions turns the 18-22″ high soil in the Bio-Cell and sprays the soil down with liquid microbial products.
insitu_diesel_graph
Project: Treated 100 cubic yards of diesel contaminated sand and silts
Client: Private Service Station Owner (Gambler Service Station)
Location: Near Gary, Indiana
Scope of work: In-Situ Bioremediation
Project cost: $1,400 (Included labor and materials for treating soil once)
Source of contamination: Leaking UST
Project duration: 4 months
Status: Completed Description: An area of 25′ x 25′ x 5′ was excavated, treated with microbial products and nutrients, and then placed back into the pit. A small, rubber tire back-hoe was used for the earthmoving during this project.
free_deisel
Project: Treated 2,500 cubic yards of diesel in groundwater
Client: Mission Bay Resort Hotel
Location: San Diego, California
Scope of work: In-Situ Bioremediation
Project cost: $175,000 (Included labor and materials for treating groundwater 4 times)
Source of contamination: Leaking UST
Project duration: 12 months
Status: Completed Description: The location of the plume was below the parking garage of a resort hotel in southern California. The application of microbial products into the soil was achieved with the installation of injection wells. In addition to our own consortium of microbes and nutrients, we added a bio-catalyst on this project to provide additional oxygen for the microbes. Twelve months after the initial treatment, the TPH dropped from 130,000 ppm to less than 1 ppm.
insitu_ground_water_graph
Project: Treated 300 cubic yards of gasoline contaminated silty sands and groundwater
Client: Private Service Station Owner (Former Exxon station)
Location: Near Dayton, Ohio
Scope of work: In-Situ Bioremediation
Project cost: $7,575 (Included earthmoving, labor, and all bioremediation products)
Source of contamination: Leaking UST
Project duration: 3 weeks
Status: Completed Description: In order to inoculate the contaminated groundwater, an open pit was excavated. A liquid mixture of our microbial products and nutrients was pumped into the pit and then agitated by the backhoe. Treatments were repeated twice during a two-week time period. Three weeks after the initial treatment, contamination levels dropped below action levels and the project was closed.

Project: Treated 12,000 cubic yards of petroleum contaminated sandy-silty soil and groundwater
Client: Gate Petroleum
Location: South Central Florida
Scope of work: In-Situ Bioremediation
Project cost: $78,000 (Included only microbial products)
Source of contamination: Leaking UST
Project duration: 9 months
Status: In Process Description: Using a Geo-Probe, microbial products were injected into 100 borings. The underground storage tanks were upgraded six months ago and since then, two treatments have been performed.
